Qoqolosing Community Tourism and Fruit Farm is a new development for Action Lesotho and is supported by funds from a LCJ client. Qoqolosing is in Leribe and is the nearest area of natural beauty to Maputsoe.

The project aims to develop tourism and generate income opportunities for the people living in the area. The programme will be on a staged basis and will provide government assisted training for villagers who will be hosting and guiding visitors to the area.

The main challenge in the area is to harness the water that is available in the natural springs.

Initial meetings are taking place with a view to fruit growing, aloe production, a water project, mushroom growing, construction of traditional Basotho huts for tourism purposes and a play pump at a primary school.
