Reikamohetse Disability Suppport Group

Reikamohetse Disability Suppport Group was formed in July 2008 following a Action Lesotho supported training course for 50 caregivers and people with disabilities.
The participants elected a committee who are now supporting people with disabilities in the area, informing them of their rights and helping them to access essential services.
Action Lesotho provided a jeep that was donated by the Irish Army which is used for transportation of members and offers a rental service. The income generated has enabled the committee to invest in the purchase of sorghum so that it can be sold by people with disabilities in the local market of Maputsoe.
