A suite of classrooms and a toilet block have been constructed by a Basotho team and Action Lesotho volunteers with monies donated by the Dr Bill Mangan Foundation and Irish Aid. Action Lesotho provided electricity giving the opportunity for the installation of a computer lab.

Support is being given by Action Lesotho volunteers to the training of teachers and staff in the use of the computers. The goal is to ensure in 2010 that the 38 staff have the opportunity to attend ICT training and gain the internationally recognised ECDL qualification. At the official opening of the classrooms in April 2009 the Minister of Education pointed out that St Monica’s is the first primary school in the country to have access to computers.
